1. Where your data lives
Couplift has no user account and keeps no server holding your content. That splits your data into two very different groups:
| Group | What it is | Who deletes it |
|---|---|---|
| On your device | Diagnosis, diary, pacts, plan, progress, achievements, the names you typed, preferences and reminder time | You, at any time — without asking anyone |
| Off your device | The purchase record at the store, an anonymous purchase identifier and, when enabled, technical crash reports | The app store and, where applicable, us |
2. Erase inside the app
To start from scratch without uninstalling Couplift:
- open the app;
- go to Settings;
- tap Delete my data and confirm.
Deletion is immediate and permanent: the diagnosis, plan, diary and progress are removed from local storage. Your purchase stays valid — erasing data does not cancel lifetime access.
3. Erase by uninstalling the app
Uninstalling Couplift removes all of the app’s local storage — the same effect as the option above, with the app off the device.
- iOS: press and hold the app icon → Remove App → Delete App.
- Android: Settings → Apps → Couplift → Uninstall. To wipe without uninstalling, use Storage → Clear data.
4. Erase the system backup
If iCloud or Google Backup was on, a copy of Couplift’s data may exist inside that backup, under Apple’s or Google’s policy. To remove it:
- iOS: Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Backups → the device → turn Couplift off in the app list.
- Android: Settings → Google → Backup → manage which app data is included.
5. Data held by third parties
There are two things we cannot delete on request, and it is worth explaining why.
The purchase record
Apple and Google keep your account’s purchase history for the tax and accounting periods they are bound by. That record is what lets you restore access on a new device, and it exists in the relationship between you and the store — we cannot remove it. To act on that data, use Apple’s or Google’s privacy channels.
Crash reports
When crash reporting is enabled in the published build, records are discarded automatically within 90 days. They contain no diagnosis or diary content and are not linked to your name. If you still want early deletion, write to {{EMAIL_ENCARREGADO}} with the approximate date and your device model so we can locate the record.
6. Make a formal deletion request
You do not need a formal request to erase what is on your device — that is in your hands. For anything else, or if you prefer a written record, email {{EMAIL_ENCARREGADO}} with:
- the subject line “Data deletion — Couplift”;
- the store used for the purchase and the approximate date;
- exactly what you want deleted.
Please do not ask us to send you your diary content: we have no access to it.
7. Timelines
- Data on the device: deleted immediately, by you.
- Email requests: acknowledged within 2 business days, resolved within 15 days.
- Crash reports: discarded automatically within 90 days.
